Checkup

Today was Chase's 9 month checkup visit to the dr.  Managed to hit 2 birds with one stone, since he is also sick.  He weighed in at 21 lbs, and is now 29" long.  He also has the start of 2 ear infections, the left one being a little farther along than the right.  Poor baby!  His legs are also starting to get a little exema along the outsides, so I bought some Eucerin cream this afternoon to apply to those.  He's finally old enough for baby benadryl, so I got some of that to help ease some of the stuffiness, and the dr also prescribed ammoxicillin(sp) again.  Poor child will be doped to high heaven, but we'll get him through this! 

He got away with no shots today, but he did have to have some blood drawn to test for anemia, and to check lead levels in his blood.  He was such a sweet boy though, and didn't cry at all.  The nurses were shocked (so was I, actually), and lavished him with silly little presents for being their best patient of the day. 

Chase spent the afternoon with Nana (I had to babysit) until Nate got home, and since I spent half the afternoon at the dr, I forgot to get any pictures :(  Luckily Nate snapped one of Chase asleep in his crib this evening.  So this will have to suffice for today.
